Is the Riverton Charitable Fund a qualified nonprofit organization?

 

Answer: Yes! We are a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization operating under and monitored for compliance by the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. The CFL has served the charitable needs of the greater Hilton Head area since 1994, now guiding over 400 local charitable funds similar to the Riverton Charitable Fund.

 

  What is your Mission Statement & Vision for use of my donation?

 

Answer: To engage the residents of Riverton Pointe, advocating for area nonprofits in responding to the needs of those in the greater Jasper County communities. The RCF will provide grants and resources in support of nonprofits addressing the needs of Jasper County residents.

 

 Do you target specific areas of needs in your grant awards?

Answer: Our primary focus is in the areas of educational programs, the needs of Jasper County seniors, and development of affordable housing.

 

Does the RCF maintain a paid staff?

 

Answer: No. 100% of our members are unpaid volunteers drawn from the residents of Riverton Pointe.

 
How much of my donation will go directly to the nonprofits awarded your grants?

 

Answer: Over 98% of your donation directly benefits those in need in the greater Jasper County community. We have no overhead expenses for buildings, utilities etc. Also, we operate under the umbrella of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry. They support us with legal, marketing, and publicity services for a nominal annual fee.
